Taonga Time.....

Every Friday the Year seven and eight classes have a special Friday called Taonga time. In each class the teacher has a different passion that they share with others. For example my teacher (Ms Tito) is very passionate about Kapa Haka.

The Taonga group I’m in is Science with Mr Harris in Room 19. We learnt how to make different coloured goo with corn flour and water. I think that the Science class is pretty interesting because we learn different things.

There are also different groups such as Maori, Kapa Haka, Science, ICT, Sport, Music and Team Building. Each class we go in ,we learn about cool and fascinating things.

Creative name!

Creativity comes from the word create. It means someone who has been thinking before creating something that doesn't already exist. Creativity is a thinking skill. So this is my entry for my most creative name do you think this is creative or not?

Term 1 Reflection

One of the things I was pleased about last term was my reading. In my report I obtained good results for my working habits, behaviour and academic progress. I feel proud of myself so does my family.

The thing I will be improving on is my art work. In my report my overall mark for art was below expectations. I will also need to manage my time during art because i always get distracted in doing something else when i was suppose to be finishing and managing my time in art.

My highlight for last term was writing. One of the things I improved on the most was writing. Last year for my writing was disappointing because writing was my worst subject but now I think I made a good change during writing i scored a good overall mark in my writing.
