7's Champs

Last week Our Rugby 7’s boys went to down to Tauranga to enter the Aims Games Tournament. Our boys played with pride and passion and got into the grand final. They won and are the best team in New Zealand.

When our Rugby 7’s boys came back we were all proud of our boys that we gave them a welcoming assembly. We all rushed to the hall and waited for Mr Jacobson to introduce the boys. “Come in boys!” Mr Jacobson yelled through the Microphone. The team walked through the door with pride and honour in there hearts as Mr Jacobson announced each name which started from the captain Jonty and ended with the last person, Ieremus. The crowd went wild. WE WERE SO PROUD!

Badminton

Two weeks ago we were invited to take a few lesson’s of badminton. The instructor that was teaching us came from the Auckland Badminton Club. Our instruction’s we were given were to grab one of the racket and made a circle around the hall.

The first lesson we were going to do for the day was to control the movement of the shuttle.

Once we made a circle around the bin we all grabbed five shuttles each and went back to our circle. Laureen our instructor told us to try and hit every shuttle in to the bin. “Yes” screamed people whacking shuttles in to the bin. We only scored one point but on the second game we scored six points and won. The second lesson we learnt was some tricks with our racket.

Our third lesson was for two people in a group so we all paired up. Once we had our groups one of the people in your groups has to grab a cone and the other has to grab a shuttle and a racket. The person that has the racket has to hit the shuttle in the air and the person with the cone has to catch it and make the shuttle land in the cone.

Our forth activity we done was to have a game with our partners in our groups. We had to try and have a game with out making the shuttle hit the ground. “dam” playing badminton was pretty hard but we tried our best.

I really had fun. I really cant wait to have another try at badminton.

Rugby League Session.

Yesturday our class went out for a cool session of league. The time was 10:00am and we all had to get dressed to go out and have some fun. So we lined up and walked to the junior court.
Sio Siua Taukeiaho(Our coach) put us in four even groups.
Once we were put in to those groups we all had to line up in a straight line and sit behind a cone. Once we were all seated we had a relay to see what team can come first. “Ready set go” Siua shouted out. The first person in our group ran around the cones then sprinted back. “No” Shouted our team we had lose Team 4 came first.”Ohhh” Shouted everyone as siua said that the race was only a practise. An adrenaline rush pumped throw my vanes to come first in the relay. We had two more games to play the second game we played was the same as the first relay we done but it was different. Our team mates were the cones so we had to run around each person then sprint back to the finish line.

Science Roadshow

Science Roadshow...

On Thursday the 9th we attended the science roadshow at Tamaki college. Once we entered the hall there were two scientists waiting to assist us through the process of exhibits. They showed us about our senses such as our touch,taste,smell,sound and our eyes.

After learning about our senses we all got to roam and test out the amazing inventions that we're set out around the hall. There were different kind of topics that explained each invention such as detection(radiation), heat(colour,fire), communication(phones), levers, gears, inclined planes(piano, metal detector), sound(bird songs), quirky curiosities(skeleton).

So heres a picture of one of the things i liked.

Creative name!

Creativity comes from the word create. It means someone who has been thinking before creating something that doesn't already exist. Creativity is a thinking skill. So this is my entry for my most creative name do you think this is creative or not?

WEDDING surprise!

It was an sunny day and we were about to leave but then ''HOORAY'' .What some one said that some one going to get marred ''WHO' no one told me. When the sky was going dark and every one was deep in sleep I thought that no one was is going to tell me so I got up and "sneaked'' down the steps and quietly went past sleeping people. I heard snoring but then I heard foot steps coming Down so my heart was beating like an racing car Accelerating Through the track ''But then I looked no one was there Then I said this might be a dream! Then I went back to what i was doing as i was almost out side I felt a tingle in side me . When I got in out side I ran and hide behind the rubbish bin and waited for every one to go inside suddenly i got snapped My uncle dean was just looking then I said wait a second he's just looking at the car at the back then he went in side. Now I ran to my Nana and said ''Nana who's having a wedding she didn't say anything. so I looked at her but she was just sleeping as the night was fading away my eyes were starting to close I ran back up to my bedroom I fell on my bed and fell in to a deep sleep . As my dream was coming I dreamed about who was going to have a wedding and was going to have it. Then as the the time was almost AM I woke up and looked in the mirror and said what the hack am I doing . When my mum came she told me an old story about the Egypt King.When the king Carmon come he KILLED everyone and took all the woman as slaves. As I was listening I really was sad. When my mum went I rushed to see who was getting marred . When I looked I know who was getting marred now it was my uncle and ant I was very happy and we had a good year together so I jumped in my sot and sat down for the anniversary and said an prea to every one and had a very BIG feed together and sang cook island songs with everyone. When we finished all the songs and had a big feed all my friends come over and we jumped in the deep pool. As the morning was away I jumped out of the pool and Ran straight to my bed room and GAZZED in to the niight and sleeped. THE END

Skin for our Blog

'COOL' Mrs Nua said we may pick one Skin for our blog. The one I picked was one called stripes and as you can see the colour is blue,black and white. Most people like 'girls picked ones with hearts. When we finally picked the skins for our blog we got to put them on. It was ''AWESOME'' my blog looked cool. I didn't know that there was skins for our blog. Lucky that one of our students told the class that there was skins for our blog . When people from around the world looked on our blogs they saw skins and published lots of comments on our blogs. When most of us got our skins on it looked cool!
